Welcome to St Augustine’s Parish Primary School.
Since 1926 St Augustine’s has established itself as a supportive, spiritual and student-centred learning environment. Our culture is founded on the Charism of the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (1926-1949) and Missionary Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception (1950-1992). We continue to live these ideals in our everyday life at St Augustine’s. Likewise St Augustine has a profound influence on how we meet the challenges of educating students today. Our school goals are to follow the rule of St Augustine. To show Respect, Acceptance, Persistence and to seek Truth. We refer to these as our RAPT goals
This website is designed to showcase our school to the wider community and provide information about ways in which we operate to meet the needs of our families. It is not intended to answer all of your questions about our school. Parents are encouraged to find out more about our school by making an appointment with the Principal. I would be delighted to take you on a school tour to give thorough insight into our mission, as well as to view our beautiful school surrounds.
In an ever-changing and challenging world, your child’s Primary School years are probably the most important. I thank you for considering St Augustine’s as an option for your child. You are invited to join with us as we strive to 'make a difference' by providing a quality education for all of our students. We recognise that school is different for each child and aim to build on each child’s background, family situation, prior experiences, knowledge, skills and understandings.
In 2017, St Augustine’s celebrates 91 years of education in Coolangatta and Currumbin Waters. It is our 30th year on the site at Currumbin Waters. As we embark on a new journey, join with us in this exciting phase to help shape the future of St Augustine’s Parish Primary School. I am proud to be part of this school community. Our door is always open to new families in the surrounding area. I invite you to visit our school and experience its vibrancy first hand.
